Ronaldinho joins Milan team-mates

Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho trained with AC Milan for the first time on Friday morning since his move from Barcelona.

The former Barca star joined his new team-mates at Milanello after being unveiled at a packed San Siro stadium on Thursday evening.

"We salute our new arrival and we have presented him to the squad," said AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"We believe he can give a valid contribution to Milan's season."

The Rossoneri fans will have to play the waiting game to see the 28-year-old in action as Ronaldinho will soon join Brazil to prepare for the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Ronaldinho believes his presence in China next month will not affect his adjustment to the Rossoneri outfit.

"Brazil has never won gold at the Olympics," said Ronaldinho. "It is important for me to play there.

"This was a decision I had already agreed prior to arriving to Milan.

"I do not believe this will affect my adaptation to my new club because I already know some players here."
