Del Bosque arrival no barrier
Villarreal winger Santi Cazorla believes that despite the change of coach, the Spanish national team is no different.
There were fears in Spain that the loss of Luis Aragones, who guided the Furia Roja to their first title in 44 years at the European Championships, would disrupt his tenure-ending run of 22 games unbeaten.
However, new coach Vicente del Bosque began his reign in charge with a positive 3-0 win over Denmark in an international friendly last month, to increase their unbeaten steak to 23 games.
And Cazorla insists that other than having a new face at the helm the feeling within the squad remains the same.
"Not a lot of things have changed, only the coach," the 23-year-old told a press conference on Thursday.
"Everything else remains the same, except for maybe some specific thing that he (Del Bosque) feels needs adjusting, but I don't think anything has changed a bit.
"We're very happy with the new coach and we hope to keep getting results."
With Liverpool's Fernando Torres out injured it is widely believed Del Bosque is going to play Aragones' previously favoured formation of 4-1-4-1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia.
This would mean Cazorla would line up on the left-hand side of the line of four attacking midfielders, with one of Del Bosque's additions to the squad, Sevilla's Diego Capel, playing on the right due to an injury to David Silva.
Should Capel start, it would be only the second cap for the 20-year-old, his first in a competitive match.
But the Sevilla winger claims that, if selected, he is ready to stake his claim for a long-term place in the side.
"If I get the chance to play I'll try to make the best of it," he said.
"Silva is an important player for the national team, it's a shame that he could have come along.
"Now, if I play, I'll have to do so as well as I possibly can and make the most of this chance that the coach is giving me.
"At the moment I'm just learning, gaining experience and making the most of every moment I spend with players who make things easy for you.
"I'm enjoying everyday I'm spending with the national team, and I hope to be a part of it for a long time."
The Barcelona duo of Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez would complete the line of four in midfield, with Valencia's David Villa leading the line as Del Bosque goes in search of his first competitive win on September 6.
