Capello: All of you! Shut up!
England manager Fabio Capello has insisted that club managers have more tact and keep their comments to themselves.
Capello came under much criticism after England survived a match with the Czech Republic 2-2 on August 20.
While the press shot down certain players for grossly underperforming that night, it was for the Italian that managers saved up their arsenal of put downs.
One such manager was Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp, who said that he was disgusted by the way the Three Lions played and openly asked of Peter Crouch's exclusion from the national team.
While the matter has been resolved by both manager behind closed doors, Capello is still angered by the way he is treated by club managers across the board.
"I spoke with the club managers to check the different positions of some players. And some managers spoke about the game against the Czechs," said Capello. "I do not speak about the games that I see, the club games. I'm the present England manager and I respect the club managers. I want them to respect me."
"I am president of the League Managers Association and they should show me respect. It is a two-way thing," added the former Real Madrid manager. "I don't comment on club teams. I'd prefer it if other managers didn't comment on England's performances."
