Dunga wary of Chile threat
Dunga believes Brazil will shake out of their goalscoring malaise ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Chile on Sunday.
The Brazil coach believes his attacking triumvirate of Robinho, Ronaldinho and Luis Fabiano can be Brazil's answer. The Selecao have so far underperformed under Dunga and have failed to score in their previous two matches to lie fifth in the standings after six rounds.
With pressure mounting on Dunga the coach revealed he will opt for a three-pronged attack to lift his side's fortunes, however he remains wary of a Chile team that have impressed in recent times.
The Roja won their previous two matches, both away from home, to head into the game one point ahead of their visitors.
"Chile are living a good moment, they won two away games in a row and are displaying a competitive edge," Dunga said. "They are a fast side with technical quality and a powerful defence."
Ronaldinho is looking forward to linking up with Luis Fabiano and Robinho, but has warned Brazil fans to be patient with the team as they look to improve.
"I have played in this position several times. It is very easy to play with Robinho and Luis Fabiano as they are very smart," the AC Milan playmaker said.
"There is a long competition ahead, but it is logical that people want to see Brazil amongst the top few places. The previous qualifiers were quite difficult for us and this time will not be different."
Chile forward Humberto Suazo believes his side can build on their recent victories and claim a rare win against Brazil in Santiago on Sunday.
"We hope we can clinch the three points to take advantage of the six points obtained in the last two games," he said.
"We are confident that we can do it. We have a good and young squad to fight every ball."
Jorge Valdivia is even more bullish than his team-mate, claiming the Roja can finish the qualification campaign at the top of the standings.
Chile also host Colombia on Wednesday and Valdivia believes victory in both of those games will move his side closer to his objective.
"We are playing at home and we are not thinking of just qualifying in the top four places, but in the top place," he said.
"To achieve that we have to beat Brazil and Colombia and all the other rivals ahead."
