Brazil v Bolivia Preview

Brazil coach Dunga has warned against overconfidence ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.

The Bolivians lie bottom of the South American Qualifying Zone with just one win from seven matches, while Brazil are on the move in the group after a slow start.

The Selecao moved up to second place on the back of a solid 3-0 win in Chile at the weekend. Dunga's team are now on 12 points, level with arch-rivals Argentina and two points adrift of leaders Paraguay.

Brazilian media are confident of securing another three points against the struggling Bolivians, but Dunga has warned his side to be wary of an upset.

"We always have to respect the other side, think about them," Dunga said.

He added that the performance against Chile was proof that the team is back on track after failing to hit the target in their previous three internationals.

"This win gives us the certainty that we are doing the right thing," he said.

"We have shown that, with more time to prepare the team, that our work is correct."

Defender Juan is a doubt for the match at the Estadio Joao Havelange as he is struggling with a left thigh strain.

Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said of the injury: "He has improved quite a lot and is keen to play, but there is pain when making some movements with the leg.

"We have some time to go until the match so we'll make use of that."

Bolivia, meanwhile, are in bullish mood ahead of the match, and striker Marcelo Martins Moreno believes winning in Rio de Janeiro is not impossible.

"It will be a very difficult game," he said. "Brazil need to win and we do too. We want the three points. It's difficult but not impossible.

"Unfortunately, we haven't had luck in the matches we have played but we'll try to win in Rio."

Bolivia are bidding to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to Ecuador on Saturday but will do so without midfielder Jesus Gomez, who was dismissed in that match.

DC United forward Jaime Moreno has been called up as Gomez's replacement in the squad.
