Soca Warriors reveal squad
Trinidad & Tobago head coach Francisco Maturana has named a 22-man squad for next month's World Cup Qualifying matches against Guatemala and the United States.
Southampton forward Stern John, Sunderland duo Dwight Yorke and Carlos Edwards, Coventry City midfielder Chris Birchall, St Johnstone winger Collin Samuel, Falkirk playmaker Russell Latapy, Swansea's Dennis Lawrence and Walsall goalkeeper Clayton Ince were all included in the squad to play on October 11 in Guatemala City before meeting the USA at the Hasely Crawford Stadium four days later.
These matches will be preceded by a friendly international against Dominican Republic at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on October 8.
The Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation added that W Connection midfielder Aurtis Whitley and Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones were not considered for selection due to injury.
The Soca Warriors, who played their very first World Cup in 2006, have collected four points from the three opening games of the semi-final round of the CONCACAF Qualifying Zone.
They lie third in Group One, five points below pool leaders United States.
