Premier League trio in Ecuador squad
Ecuador coach Sixto Vizuete has named three England-based players in his squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers.
Everton's Segundo Castillo, Antonio Valencia of Wigan and Manchester City's Felipe Caicedo are included in the 23-man squad to face Chile on October 12 and Venezuela three days later.Most of the players will start training on Tuesday next week, but the Liga Deportiva Universitaria players - Jose Francisco Cevallos, Paul Ambrossi, Patricio Urrutia and Luis Bolanos - will join them on October 2, one day after their team play the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana last-16 clash against Boca Juniors.
Vizuete also named five home-based youngsters to train with the team even though they are not a part of the official squad. They are Deison Mendez (Liga Deportiva Universitaria), Fabricio Guevara (El Nacional), Mike Rodriguez (Barcelona), Jefferson Pinto (Emelec), Pablo Ochoa (Aguilas).
Ecuador have collected nine points so far to lie seventh in the South American Qualifying Zone.
