Olsen praises professional Danes
Denmark coach Morten Olsen praised his players for a professional performance in their 3-0 win over Malta on Saturday.
Two goals from Soren Larsen, who was playing his first international for three years, together with a Daniel Agger penalty ensured the Danes maintained their unbeaten start in World Cup qualifying Group One.
That display was enough to satisfy Olsen.
"It was one of those games where we had everything to lose, so it was important we kept our concentration in the way we did," said the coach.
"We scored an early goal and that pretty much decided the match. We could perhaps have got three or four more goals (than we did) but that was the only thing the match lacked."
The win means Denmark top the standings, two points ahead of Scandinavian rivals Sweden, but Olsen insists it is too early to study the table.
"That means nothing at this moment in time. I want to be in top spot next year," he added.
