Belgium vs Spain Preview
Iker Casillas wants Spain to make the most of the momentum gained from their Euro 2008 win ahead of their qualifier with Belgium.
Spain have avoided any sort of hangover from their summer heroics and remain unbeaten after three matches of their qualification campaign for the 2010 World Cup.
Spain have the only 100% record in Group Five having beaten Bosnia-Herzegovina, Armenia and Estonia in their opening three matches.
"The wind is currently blowing in favour of the national squad, who are working as a team," Casillas told AS.
"We are not unbeatable, but with every victory we re-affirm ourselves and means our opponents are finding it more difficult to find a weak point.
"The national team is at the point where France and Germany were at 10-12 years ago. We are a young and title-winning team, and we need to take advantage of the momentum."
Belgium are in second spot behind Spain, level on seven points with Turkey, having won their home games against Estonia and Armenia and drawn away in Istanbul.
It is a decent start for Belgium, but coach Rene Vandereycken knows it is about to get a lot tougher for his troops.
"We're taking on a team that haven't lost for a very long time, so we can expect a much tougher task than against Armenia," he said.
"Spain are the European champions and number one in the FIFA rankings. It's clear they are favourites for the game."
Bosnia-Herzegovina sit fourth in the group and will be eyeing a swift return to winning ways after slipping to a 2-1 defeat in Turkey at the weekend.
That result took the shine off Bosnia-Herzegovina's stunning 7-0 hammering of Estonia in their previous outing, and coach Miroslav Blazevic will be looking for an immediate upturn in performance against Armenia.
However, Wednesday's opponents looked comfortable for long periods before losing 2-0 to Belgium on Saturday, and Blazevic knows his side will have their work cut out to take away all three points.
Blazevic said: "Armenia will be difficult game. Belgium were lucky to get a couple of quick goals but in general Armenia were good in Brussels.
"A win against Armenia for us is imperative."
Wednesday's final Group Five game will see third-placed Turkey bid to extend their unbeaten start against Estonia, who prop up the pool after conceding 13 goals on their way to suffering three straight defeats.
