Peseiro expects Saudis to seal spot
Saudi Arabia coach Jose Peseiro insists his side are ready for their World Cup qualifying clash with North Korea.
The match at the King Fahd International Stadium is a straight battle for the second automatic qualification spot for next year's tournament in South Africa.
Both sides have 11 points in Group B of Asian qualifying, although North Korea have the slight advantage as their goal difference is superior.
A draw could be enough to see them through while Saudi Arabia need to win if they are to progress to their fifth successive World Cup finals.
"We all know that it is our responsibility to end this campaign in a right way, my players are ready and I can feel their desire to win this match," said Peseiro.
"I am sure that my players will be in the right form and they need to battle and be patient to achieve their goal. It will not be an easy clash."
The Saudi side have been dealt a blow in the run-up to the game with the news Al Shabab midfielder Abdoh Ateef is out with a knee injury while his brother Ahmed is suspended after he was sent off against South Korea earlier this month.
"It was a great shock to lose the services of both players but in my plan I only base my tactics depending on who is available and who is ready," added Peseiro.
"We will miss the two players in this crucial game but I believe in the other players' abilities and experiences."
North Korea, meanwhile, are looking to reach their first finals since progressing to the quarter-finals of the 1966 World Cup.
A win will guarantee second place while a draw may be enough if Iran fail to beat South Korea in the other game of the group.
Iran coach Afshin Ghotbi hopes his extensive knowledge of the South Korean national team will give his side the edge in Seoul.
Ghotbi was assistant coach of South Korea between 2004 and 2007 and the Iranian is keen to secure all three points, which could ensure both sides will be in South Africa next year.
"I know the Korean team and players better than anyone else," he said.
"I was in the World Cup twice with South Korea. I hope that Iran and Korea will go to the World Cup together.
"I love Korea and have had great success in this country. The fact that Korea already qualified for the World Cup gives me a bit of comfort. I guess we have a good chance to achieve what we want."
Although his side have already claimed top spot in the group, South Korea coach Huh Jung-moo is keen to end the qualification campaign undefeated.
"We want to finish this campaign well," he said.
"At the same time, we hope we can begin preparation for the finals in South Africa. I will prove that South Korea deserves to be in the World Cup finals in this game"
