France have called up Bafetimbi Gomis to replace Franck Ribery for their games against the Faroe Islands and Austria.

Ribery has been ruled out because of a knee injury, and the French Football Federation have confirmed Gomis - in prolific goalscoring form for his club so far this season - has been called up.

France, currently second in qualifying Group Seven and unlikely to overtake leaders Serbia in the race for an automatic place at next year's finals in South Africa, face the Faroe Islands on Saturday and Austria next Wednesday.
