WCQ: South American Preview
With six teams fighting for two remaining spots at the World Cup finals it is all to play for on the penultimate matchday.
Brazil and Paraguay are the only nations who have already secured their spots in South Africa next year.
Chile are a win away from that target, with Ecuador holding the final place heading into the weekend's matches.
Giants Argentina are only in fifth position - good enough to secure a play-off against a CONCACAF nation if they remain there - while Uruguay, Venezuela and Colombia are all within two points of Diego Maradona's side and looking to climb into the qualification spots.
Chile will look to book their ticket tomorrow when they face Colombia in Medellin.
Captain Claudio Bravo said: "A draw may be a good result but we work to win the games, not draw them. We will play as we always do to finish this thing as soon as possible."
Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa has not confirmed the team but has promised to adopt his usual aggressive tactics in Colombia.
The hosts need a win to keep their chances alive and they know they face a dangerous team.
Defender Mario Yepes said: "We have to avoid giving them any space to control the ball because they play very fast and know how to score."
In the altitude of Quito, Ecuador will host Uruguay, and home coach Sixto Vizuete is very clear about his plans.
"We will look for the victory since minute one," he said. "We will play in a very offensive way. We know they will play rough, they like to make dirty matches, but we have talented players to face that."
Maradona's Argentina are staring at disaster as they face the prospect of missing their first World Cup finals for 40 years.
They host already-eliminated Peru tomorrow looking for a victory to give them breathing space before the last key duel in Uruguay.
Striker Gonzalo Higuain said: "We're all working to get the qualification. Diego is fine and the group too. We have a great challenge ahead."
The Real Madrid forward has received his first call-up for the national team and should be a starter against Peru.
The final team in with a chance of qualification are surprise package Venezuela, who for the first time in their history have a real opportunity of making the finals.
First up they tackle tough Paraguay, although the fact the Guaranies have already qualified may prove an advantage.
Finally, on Sunday, Brazil visit Bolivia. There is nothing riding on the match as Dunga's team are comfortably at the top of the standings and the Bolivians have been out of contention for a long time.
Midfielder Gilberto Silva said: "Our motivation is to keep winning. I never want to lose. In the Brazil team you can't relax.
"This time the qualification wasn't as hard as in previous years but we're all focused on winning these last two games to end in the best way."
