Rooney upbeat despite loss
Wayne Rooney is refusing to allow England's 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Ukraine on Saturday to lower his spirits.
The Three Lions' 100 per cent qualifying record evaporated in Dnepropetrovsk thanks to Serhiy Nazarenko's first-half winner.
Fabio Capello's men were up against it early on after Robert Green's dismissal and Rooney felt having a man disadvantage was crucial.
However, England have already secured their place in South Africa next summer and the Manchester United ace wants his colleagues to learn from the defeat.
"Obviously we're disappointed. It was a difficult game us, especially being down to 10 men so early on," he told Sky Sports News.
"I thought we fought hard and we worked hard and that we had a few chances near the end to get an equaliser.
"Obviously we're disappointed we haven't won or got anything out of the game but we can learn from it and move on."
