Gallas did not see handball

William Gallas has revealed that he was not sure whether Thierry Henry handled the ball in the lead-up to his vital goal against Ireland.

According to skysports.com, the Arsenal defender did not see Henry making any illegal moves that led to the goal.

"It all happened so quickly. I received the ball from Thierry. It happened so quickly that I couldn't see (if the ball hit his hand)," the Gunners defender said.

France coach Raymond Domenech also did not comment on the incident and instead declared his pre-match predictions came true.

"It was hard, laborious and indeed miraculous," he told French TV.

"I was sure we would make it though. My forecast was 1-1!"
