English duo set for Hong Kong

Race to Dubai leader Lee Westwood and fellow Englishman Paul Casey have confirmed their participation in next month's Hong Kong Open.

Westwood holds a narrow advantage over Rory McIlroy, who will also tee off at Fanling, after winning last week's Portugal Masters and with fourth-placed Casey also in the field, the stage is set for an exciting shootout between the trio.

"I understand Fanling is a tight, old-style course that places a lot of emphasis on accuracy so hopefully it will suit my game and I can put on a good show for the fans," said Westwood.

"Asia has been kind to me in the past and it would be wonderful if I could post another victory in the region."

World number four Casey is set to make his return from a rib injury sustained in August at next week's Volvo World Matchplay in Spain and the 32-year-old is relishing the prospect of squaring off against Westwood and McIlroy at Hong Kong Golf Club from November 12 to 15.

"The Hong Kong Open is not only a wonderful and historic tournament in its own right, it is also pivotal in the 2009 Race To Dubai, so it promises to be a very exciting week," said Casey.

The duo will also be joined by Ian Poulter, veteran Irishman Darren Clarke and US PGA champion YE Yang as players scramble to book their spot for the following week's lucrative end of season Dubai World Championship.
