Westwood back as number one
Lee Westwood is back as Europe's number one - after becoming the inaugural winner of the season-ending Dubai World Championship.
The 36-year-old, two ahead overnight and five clear of money list leader Rory McIlroy, produced a sizzling closing 64 - the lowest round of the week - to win by six from fellow Englishman Ross McGowan.
McIlroy finished third after a 67, but it was never going to be enough to keep hold of his Order of Merit advantage.
Westwood earned £744,180 for winning the tournament and a further £893,016 from a bonus pool for the top 15 on the inaugural Race to Dubai.
McIlroy could do no better than pars at the first six, but Westwood moved four clear by finding the target again from more than 30 feet - up and over another ridge - at the third.
McIlroy was down to seventh and McGowan was joined in second place when Garcia had a hat-trick of birdies from the fifth.

It was fast turning into a one-man show as Westwood, his putter red hot, holed from 10 feet on the fifth and 20 feet at the next.
Four under for the round already he was 19 under and six clear of McGowan, Garcia and Ogilvy.
