China's Zhang Lianwei and Kurt Barnes of Australia remain tied at the top of the Zhongshan IGC Open leaderboard.

Both men fired two-under-par 70s in Friday's second round in Nanjing.

Zhang carded four birdies against two bogeys while Barnes picked up five birdies but dropped a shot on the 12th while a double bogey on the 16th denied him the outright lead at the Nanjing Zhongshan International Golf Club.

The pair are five under for the tournament and hold a one-stroke lead over Yuan Hao, who carded a three-under 69.

"My chipping wasn't good today, but my score is good for the first two rounds," said Zhang, who has won six titles on the Omega China Tour.

"I'm aware Barnes can hit it long, but golf is about all parts of the game and I believe I can do well this weekend."

Teenager James Su Dong and Ye Xionghui are a further shot behind in a tie for fourth at three under while Thailand's Wisut Arjanawat - who had three top 10 finishes on the Asian Tour last year - is four shots off the pace at one under.

The tournament is the second event on this year's Omega China Tour.
