Unranked Igrashi triumphs
Unranked Yuji Igarashi achieved an astonishing upset when he won the UBS Japan Tour Championship by one stroke.
The 40-year-old arrived at Shishido Hills without a world ranking after failing to pick up a single point in any official tournament over the past two years.
But he edged out New Zealander David Smail, Korean IJ Jang and Japan's Toru Suzuki with a closing 70 for 276, eight under. It earned him an invitation to the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio in August.
