Ricky Barnes is feeling bullish after his U.S. Open heroics and he hopes to do well at the 2009 AT&T National.

Barnes is impressed by the Blue Course at the Congressional Country Club which he took a peek at on Monday.

"I like it," he told USA Today. "You miss the fairways, you're going to have a heck of a time hacking it up toward the green, but, if you hit it in the fairway, you're going to get rewarded with shorter clubs in your hand."

The 28-year-old American is also taking Monday off to recharge his batteries after three consecutive starts in the last three weeks.

The AT&T National, playing this week, is hosted by Tiger Woods and Anthony Kim is the defending champion. He defeated Fredrik Jacobson by two shots.
