Kenichi Kuboya moved into a two-stroke lead midway through the Canon Open after carding a four-under-par 68 today.

The 37-year-old picked up five birdies while the only blemish on his scorecard came when he bogeyed the par-four 15th at the Totsuka Country Club.

Kuboya has a two-day total of 11 under 133 while two shots behind on nine under is Han Lee, who carded a six under 66 to make his move up the leaderboard.

Overnight leader Yuta Ikeda dropped into a group of seven players tied third at eight under for the tournament after he could only manage a level par 72.
