Ishikawa off to solid start

Japan's Ryo Ishikawa made a good start to the Taiheiyo Masters after a four-under 68 put him one stroke behind the leaders.

The 18-year-old, who finished tied 17th at last week's HSBC Champions in Shanghai, carded four birdies and an eagle whilst dropping two shots at Taiheiyo Club's Gotemba Course to join a group of six players a shot behind leaders Kenichi Kuboya, Tomohiro Kondo and Shigeru Nonaka.

Japan Tour money leader Yuta Ikeda also carded a 68.
