Leonard surges into lead
Justin Leonard has stormed to the top of the leaderboard at the Children's Miracle Network Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Florida with a round of 64.
Leonard finished eight under par on the day to move to 12 under overall, two shots ahead of round one leader Justin Rose, who could only manage a round of 69 second time out.
Leonard had started the day in a tie for 11th place, but began with four straight birdies to begin his assault on the top of the leaderboard.
Three bogeys marred his scorecard by the end of the day, but 11 birdies more than fixed the damage.
Rose, meanwhile, failed to find his form of Thursday and skips back into a tie for second alongside American George McNeil, who carded a round of 66.
England's Greg Owen, who started the day in second place, finished with a disappointing 71 to slip down to a tie for eighth place.
Further down the field, former world number one David Duval endured a round of 73, coming on the back of his 76 yesterday, missing the cut and putting himself in line to lose his tour card.
