Miyase climbs leaderboard

Hirofumi Miyase carded a five-under-par 67 before darkness forced the third round of the Taiheiyo Masters to be suspended.

Miyase picked up five birdies in a blemish-free round at Taiheiyo Club's Gotemba Course and was one of only nine players to complete their rounds after the start of play had been delayed three hours due to heavy rain.

The 38-year-old is one stroke ahead of Daisuke Maruyama (68) and Ryuji Imada (69) with a three-day total of seven under 209.

Ryo Ishikawa was seven under with five holes left to play in his third round while Japan Tour money leader Yuta Ikeda was two under through 15.
