Cristie Kerr made an eagle on the par four 16th to catapult herself into a share of the lead after three rounds at the Lorena Ochoa Invitation.

Kerr finished five under on the day with a round of 67, moving her to 10 under par overall and a share of the lead alongside Michelle Wie.

Wie began brightly with birdies on the first two holes, but two bogeys in the space of four holes on the way back saw her settle for a round of 70.

Overnight leader Jiyai Shin struggled today, with three bogeys on the back nine as she carded a 74 to fall back into a tie for third place along with Song-Hee Kim and Paula Creamer, who had rounds of 70 and 71 respectively.
