Oda wins Casio World Open

Kouemi Oda produced an excellent final round of 65 to win the Casio World Open by three strokes at Kochi Kuroshio Country Club.

Starting the day in a three-way tie for the lead with Ryo Ishikawa and Shigeki Murayama, the 31-year-old pulled away thanks to seven birdies in 10 holes starting from the sixth.

Oda's seven-under-par effort saw him finish 21 under for the tournament, three ahead of Ishikawa whose four-under 68 contained six birdies and two bogeys.

Tetsuji Hiratsuka finished third on 16-under following a bogey-free 68 while three players finished tied for fourth a shot further back including Ryuchi Oda, who also fired a 65.
