Poor light halts Chand charge
Dinesh Chand was the on-course leader at 10 under par when the second round of the Sun Chlorella Classic was suspended due to darkness.
Heavy rain at Otaru Country Club in Japan yesterday meant none of the field could complete their opening rounds and had to come back in the morning to finish off before starting their second 18 holes.
Chand shot a six-under 66 and a further four birdies saw him open up a two-shot advantage over Liang Wen-chong and Tetsuji Hiratsuka.
Chinese star Liang followed up an opening 69 with a 67 while Hiratsuka carded a 70 and a 66 as the pair finished the day tied on eight under par.
