Australia, Germany win their matches

Australia kept their winning streak intact, thrashing Netherlands 7-2 on Sunday in the second round of the Champions Trophy.

Grant Schubert starred for the Aussies, scoring thrice in the first half to virtually seal it for his team.

Meanwhile, in another game played on Sunday, South Korea stunned Germany, getting the better of the Olympic Champions in a 5-3 win.

Soo-Kyuk Yang latched on to a pass from Hyo-Sik You to score for the South Koreans.

Matthias Witthaus, flicking into the top of goal from 10 metres out, and Jan-Marco Montag's conversion of Germany's second penalty corner put the world champions 2-1 up three minutes into the second half but South Korea were too hot to handle on the day.

They attacked Germany’s backfield with long passes to get four goals in a mere 20 minutes.

Spain and England, who lost their matches on the first day were scheduled to meet later on Sunday.
