No Khan do, Manny Pacquiao
Amir Khan is unlikely to spar with Ricky Hatton's next opponent Manny Pacquiao because of a cut above his eye.
The Commonwealth Lightweight champion had four stitches in the wound removed this morning.
It was a legacy of his marvellous fifth round defeat of the highly-respected Marco Antonio Barrera two weeks ago in Manchester.
Khan still intends to join his stablemate Pacquiao in Las Vegas next month as he prepares to meet Hatton on May 2, but for training and nothing else.
"I have suffered a cut so I do not think I will be doing it (sparring)," he said at the launch of his DVD Khan the Champion.
"I need to let the cut heal first. Maybe if it had not been so bad I would probably have sparred with him.
"The wound is getting better but it needs a couple more weeks for it to heal properly."
Khan, who will begin a week's holiday with friends tomorrow, and Pacquiao, are both trained by Freddie Roach.
That is why the Bolton boxer insists he will remain neutral when Pacquiao faces Hatton at the MGM Grand.
Khan added: "I am not going to support anyone, I am just going to enjoy myself. I am going to be happy for both of them. What a massive fight it is."
