Paris St Germain vs Auxerre Preview
Champions League-chasing Paris St Germain welcome back Ludovic Giuly for Saturday's Ligue 1 match against in-form Auxerre.
The diminutive forward missed PSG's 1-0 win at Le Mans on Wednesday because of thigh trouble, but he has returned to training and is available to coach Paul Le Guen for this weekend.
Central defender Sammy Traore has also recovered from injury (adductors) but top scorer Guillaume Hoarau (adductors) and midfielder Clement Chantome (thigh) will miss out once again.
The capital club should assure themselves a spot in next season's Europa League with a win tomorrow, but they have their sights fixed on a bigger prize.
PSG are only a point adrift of third-placed Lyon, who take on leaders Marseille on Sunday, so grabbing the third and final Champions League berth is a real possibility for Le Guen's men.
"Lyon have away games at Marseille and also (fifth-placed) Toulouse, and they are tricky matches," said PSG defender Sylvain Armand.
"But playing against teams who have nothing left to play for isn't easy either.
"We will have extra pressure on us compared to these teams, especially Auxerre, who haven't a great deal to play for at the end of this championship but have still won their last four games."
Auxerre's 2-0 win at home to Grenoble on Wednesday continued their superb run of form and they have only conceded one goal in those four victories, which has lifted them up to eighth.
The Burgundy visitors will be without defender Adama Coulibaly (thigh) while Julien Quercia (knee) remains on the long-term injury list.
