Iverson offer no longer a Greek myth?
Veteran scoring guard Allen Iverson has allegedly been offered a two-year US$10 million deal by Greek team Olympiakos.
Iverson is reported to be looking for a deal that pays US$5 million a season, but is The Answer willing to move to Europe, play in a completely different league and trying to appease a team with great expectations?
Olympiakos Piraeus made the headlines last season by signing Josh Childress from the Atlanta Hawks on a lucrative deal.
The European giant offered Nate Robinson the same deal as Iverson earlier in the summer as well, but the diminutive shooting guard was said to be disinterested. Olympiakos has also reportedly been interested in Denver forward Linas Kleiza, Knicks forward David Lee, and Bucks guard Ramon Sessions.
In addition to Olympiakos, the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Memphis Grizzlies are also courting the 34-year old former NBA MVP. Iverson is a 10-time NBA All-Star with a career scoring average 27.1 points.
