Denmark 1-1 Portugal
Portugal dominated their Group One qualifier with Denmark in Copenhagen but had to settle for a draw.
Carlos Queiroz's side had more than 20 shots on goal but were held by the spirited defending of the home side.
The visitors even had to come from a goal behind as Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner punished their poor finishing when he gave the home side the lead.
Brazilian-born striker Liedson, a second-half substitute, scored a late equaliser for the visitors.
Denmark had won the reverse fixture in Lisbon 3-2 with a late goal after the home side had dominated, and Portugal again created more of the chances.
With Simao and Cristiano Ronaldo playing up front the visitors created numerous chances but failed to take most of them.
Ronaldo was twice denied early on by Denmark goalkeeper Stephan Andersen.
Portugal paid the price for failing to make their domination pay as the home side took the lead three minutes before half-time.
Duda slipped and Bruno Alves could not reach the ball in time as Bendtner took his time to score the opening goal with a left-footed shot.
Queiroz switched tactics in the second half as he changed to a 4-3-3 formation, with Juventus midfielder Tiago being replaced by Liedson who was making his debut for Portugal.
Denmark had two chances to increase their lead but saw a shot from Jakob Poulsen blocked by Jose Bosingwa before Dennis Rommedahl shot narrowly wide.
But with their chances of qualification hanging in the balance, Portugal put the Denmark goal under pressure as the game went on.
The visitors were rewarded with four minutes remaining as Liedson scored the equaliser with a header.
