Ichiro tossed for the very first time
Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki was ejected from Saturday afternoon's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The ejection was the first in Ichiro's career, including all the years he played in Japan, in a career spanning 17 years.
Ichiro was tossed for arguing that a pitch from David Purcey was outside. The veteran had used his bat to draw a line on the outer edge of the plate, and was immediately tossed by umpire Brian Runge in the fifth inning of Toronto's extra-inning victory over Seattle.
