Deccan Chargers batsman Andrew Symonds talks about Airtel CLT20 and more in an exclusive chat with espnstar.com.

Q: This is of course not your first tour to India. What really makes it special to play in India?

Ans: It is always a big challenge to play in India for many a reason, not just one I suppose. I remember when I first came to India. You have got to do with the food, culture and people. I reckon you get tested not just as a cricketer, but as a person and a player. I have of course always accepted challenges and enjoyed my stint here, but you have got to be pretty careful and smart as well.

Q: Any special restrictions?

Ans: Well they are always there. You can't just get away with anything. And we as players always try to stick to the rules. But with Darren Lehman as coach, we do enjoy a bit of freedom as well. I am really enjoying myself and very happy to be back here to play.

Q: What is your view on this new concept of CLT20?

Ans: It is very exciting for many reasons. This can grow many times over in the next few years because the whole concept of top teams participating seems very interesting. This being the first, it is really something special and we guys consider ourselves fortunate to be part of it. And we are all there to perform and entertain the crowds.

Q: Do you think this concept of T20 will be interesting if this is taken all around the world?

Ans: Well honestly I don't know. I am not the person who runs the game. But what is exciting of this trophy is that top teams will be striving to win. India has brought this new dimension of the 20-20 format to cricket. If this is taken around, it won't be a bad idea. Many will get benefited in many ways and let us hope it will move around.

Q: Is it frustrating not playing for Australia?

Ans: Well that is everyone's query. But it is not frustrating at all. I am enjoying my life. You know life is always grand. I can't just complain of what has happened. I am really enjoying myself.

Q:Can fans expect the repeat of IPL-2 and fireworks from players like you?

Ans: Why not? We are here to entertain everyone. We are all bubbling with enthusiasm. But there are many other teams which can give good performances too.
