Chargers lead the pack
The San Diego Chargers won their fifth straight game 32-3 against the Denver Broncos to lead the AFC West.
The Oakland Raiders came back in dramatic fashion to to beat the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17.
Louis Murphy scored the game-tying touchdown on a pass from Bruce Gradkowski with just 33 seconds to play, before Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 33-yard field goal when Andre Caldwell made a mess of the kick-off.
The New England Patriots established a two-game lead in the AFC East by beating the New York Jets 31-14.
The Arizona Cardinals overcame the loss of quarterback Kurt Warner to hold off the St Louis Rams for a 21-13 victory.
Warner (15 for 19) threw for two touchdowns before OJ Atogwe's high hit took him out of the game with the Rams 21-3 ahead, a lead which was to hold despite a Rams fightback in the second half.
In the day's late game, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chicago Bears 24-20.
