ESPN STAR Sports Formula One analyst Steve Slater previews the first-ever night race held in Singapore.

"You simply cannot fail to be excited about the Singapore Grand Prix, the first, floodlit, night race in Formula One history," he said.

With only four more races to go, the veteran F1 commentator for ESPN STAR Sports believes that the stakes are high in the race for the World Championship title with just a single point separating McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Felipe Massa.

Slater also felt the competition has proved to closer than most F1 fans think it is.
