Murray: Expect a different F1
Formula One commentator Murray Walker says he "hasn't the faintest idea" what’s going to happen this season.
Walker has claimed that it is near impossible to predict what is going to become a reality between now and the flagoff of the Australian Grand Prix, but that has not stopped the man from choosing Robert Kubica from winning the World Title in 2009.
Walker continued saying that the many changes taking place for the races this year will provide for an exciting campaign for everyone involved.
"Nobody has the faintest idea what's going to be happening in 2009. They've thrown all the balls up in the air," said Walker. "We've got KERS and we've got slick tyres as well as all sorts of different things happening next year. It's going to be very different."
When hounded for his eventual champion, Walker surprisingly chose Polish driver Kubica.
Walker also proclaimed that BMW Sauber and Renault could give McLaren-Mercedes and Ferrari a run for their money, based on how they performed last season. The F1 guru said it is very likely that they could turn the season into a four-horse race.
"Ask me who will win the championship this year," Walker continued, "[and I would opt for] Robert Kubica in the BMW. BMW are a mighty switched-on organisation, they make cracking road cars and I am full of admiration and respect for what they've done. And they will get better."
"I think Renault is going to be a big threat too - particularly with Fernando Alonso at the wheel because he has still got something to prove."
