Michael Schumacher is the winner of F1 – The Greatest! Thank you for your votes, and we hope you enjoyed the game!
After more than one month of garnering votes, as well as swashbuckling through four intense rounds, we hereby crown Formula 1 Legend Michael Schumacher the Greatest!
The Red Baron tore through Niki "The SuperRat" Lauda like silken tofu, earning 92.23% of your votes to ascend the throne of motor racing royalty.
Here's Schumi's journey in each and every round of the competition:
Round of 16 (Match 4)
Michael Schumacher 79.55% - 20.45% Lewis Hamilton
Quarter-finals (Match 10)
Ayrton Senna 26.1% - 73.9% Michael Schumacher
Semi-finals
Alain Prost 12.72% - 87.28% Michael Schumacher
Final
Michael Schumacher 92.23% - 7.77% Niki Lauda
Just in case anyone doubts Schumacher's credentials to be the greatest, here's a reminder:
Michael "The Red Baron" Schumacher is literally the winningest driver alive. Seven world titles, a total of 91 wins and 68 pole positions, which is unlikely to be overtaken by any other driver any time soon.
Equally impressive is the fact that after winning his first two titles, he left the Benetton team to join Ferrari, who'd barely won in a decade.
Schumacher, along with Ross Brawn and Jean Todt, turned the ailing Scuderia into a winning machine like no other.
