Fisichella impresses in practice session

Giancarlo Fisichella posted the sixth fastest time in the second practice session on Friday.

Fisichella posted sixth fastest as Force India made all the right noise ahead of Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

After rain had blighted the morning session, the team made the most of the dry afternoon practice with Fisichella recording a quickest lap of 1:47.506, which placed him sixth, while teammate Adrian Sutil was two tenths slower in 13th.

Fisichella had clocked 2:03.972 in the morning session to be 11th fastest, while Sutil (2:05.839) lied 16th.

"My last lap was good and I'm happy I could record a quick time. We still need to work on the amount of understeer we have but apart from that today was not too bad," Fisichella later said.

"It's difficult to say where we will be tomorrow, but top 15 is realistic and of course we will try our best to get in the top 10 but it is going to be very difficult," he said.

Sutil, on his part, said his timing did not reflect the pace of the car.

"I'm quite happy with today. Unfortunately I got traffic on my last lap so the time isn't a true reflection of what we could do but I'm confident for tomorrow and maintaining our recent performance," said the German driver.

Defending champion Lewis Hamilton (1: 47.201) of McLaren was fastest in Friday's practice.
