Founded in just 2006, Trident Racing has yet to be very relevant in GP2 racing. After finishing in last place during the GP2 Asia Series two years ago, Trident had hopes of redeeming themselves last year with two experienced and successful drivers but could only muster a ninth place finish.
In this year's series Trident will be trying to continue to make strides up the standings with new drivers Johnny Cecotto and Plamen Kralev.
While they may keep improving, Trident Racing will not be considered a very serious contender until they are able to grasp some consistency and prove they are able to keep pace with the more successful racing teams in GP2.
