Full Biography
LISA WONG:
One of the foremost female presenters in motorsport in Malaysia, Lisa Wong has recently “fallen in love” with other forms of sports, namely football (Arsenal) and tennis (Rafael Nadal). A passion picked up since joining ESPN as host of SportsCenter Malaysia.Education: I'm a degree holder from the University of Technology, Sydney. I began my career in broadcasting with RTM, the official govt station in Malaysia. My seven years in RTM was great as I was given freedom to get involved in other aspects of boradcasting, from script-writing to producing.
My love for tv has led me to present in a wide variety of genres, from breakfast shows, lifestyle, entertainment, news and finally sports, where I took on roles such as producing and commentating on special programmes such as the Athens Olympic Games, Le Tour de Langkawi and Formula 1. My tv involvement spans over 20 different shows, and my passion is still interview tv.
I love Formula 1, and now I'm into tennis and my favourite club, Arsenal. I also enjoy keeping abreast with sports news, locally and international. Sport is so wide, that I believe one can never stop learning. What 's great about my job at SportsCenter, is that I can have fun while doing something I love!
I believe strongly in a healthy lifestyle. I gym, run, do yoga, meditate and am a fish vegetarian (consume fish only). I transferred this love to producing health tv programmes for a NTV7 in 2004. My friends sometimes refer to me as a health freak. I enjoy running and take part in run events and was Miss Fitness 2004 1st Runner Up ( ha ha )I've been told I look demure, sweet and sometimes serious, but close friends will tell you, I'm a nut head! I love music but nothing pop, and am into foreign movies, and independent films. Always on the hunt for new albums and new foreign movies.
