Holland coach Foppe de Haan has confirmed Roy Makaay will miss their next Olympics match against the United States.

The Feyenoord striker is suffering from a bruised foot, and De Haan has conceded defeat in the battle to get Makaay fit for the Group B clash.

"Roy won't make it for the match against the USA," said the coach.

Evander Sno is also set to miss Sunday's meeting with the United States following his red card in their opening goalless draw with Nigeria.
