The Houston Rockets centre, who sparked fears for his participation in the Olympics when a stress fracture of the foot ruled him out of the end of the NBA season, showed no signs of discomfort as China avenged a 72-71 loss to the Africans earlier this month.

China meet Angola, Germany, Greece, Spain and the United States in Group B of the Olympics basketball tournament, which begins on Sunday, August 10.
