World records ratified by IAAF

The three world records set at last month's World Athletic Championships in Berlin have been ratified by the IAAF.

Usain Bolt's 100 metres and 200m times of 9.58 seconds and 19.19secs, which replaced the clockings of 9.69 and 19.30 from last year's Olympics, were confirmed by the IAAF.

Poland's Anita Wlodarczyk's hammer throw of 77.96m which bettered the previous mark of 77.80m by Russia's Tatyana Lysenko three years ago, was also accepted by the world governing body.
