Patriots 77-61 Tigers

The Philippine Patriots went up against the Thailand Tigers at Ynares Sports Arena, Manila, Philippines.

Their previous meeting on 25 October saw the Philippine Patriots emerge victorious over Thailand Tigers, ending the match 74 - 61. The Thailand Tigers put up a tough fight during the match, and the same was expected today.

The Philippine Patriots sent in Jason Dixon, Froilan Baguion, Jerwin Gaco, Robert Wainwright and Warren Ybanez as their starting lineup, going up against Thailand Tigers' Attaporn Lertmalaiporn, Ikenna Nwankwo, Axel Doruelo, Ratdech Kruatiwa and Chattipak Ruankam.

A repeat of their previous meet, the Philippine Patriots took a small lead in the first quarter which ended 15 - 13 against the Thailand Tigers and extended this to a 5 point lead at halftime which ended 31 - 26.

In the third quarter, the Thailand Tigers continued to push hard, not allowing the Philippine Patriots to extend their lead, ending the quarter 47 - 43 against Thailand Tigers. It was in the final quarter that Philippine Patriots picked up the pace, and with 6 minutes left on the clock, the Patriots were already leading by 12 points against the Thailand Tigers.

At the end of the match, the Philippine Patriots again emerged as winners, beating the Thailand Tigers 77 - 61.

Philippine Patriots Jason Dixon was the team's top scorer with 19 points, followed by Elmer Espiratu with 10 points. Jason Dixon also had 10 rebounds and team mate Warren Ybanez had 9 assists.

As for Thailand Tigers, Attaporn Lertmalaiporn was once again their top scorer with 19 points followed closely by Chaz Briggs with 18 points and 17 rebounds.
