Top American trio go head to head
America's three world class shot putters - Christian Cantwell, Reese Hoffa and Adam Nelson - will clash at the Millrose Games on Friday.
Cantwell showed his credentials when clinching the world outdoor crown in Berlin last summer, Hoffa claimed the 2006 world indoor title, while Nelson is a two-time former Olympic silver medallist.
The trio are intensive rivals and traditionally have very close encounters, with another closely contested competition anticipated at the New York venue.
Both Hoffa and Nelson will be chasing third successes at the world's oldest indoor meeting, while Cantwell - dominant outdoors last year - will be under pressure to impress indoors.
Reigning Olympic 200 metres champion Veronica Campbell-Brown will look to achieve her first Millrose Games victory in the Visa women's 60 metre event.
The Jamaican will face Lisa Barber - who beat her on her last appearance four years ago - as well as 2008 Olympic Games sprint finalists Muna Lee and Marshevet Myers.
