Jeter to compete in Glasgow
World 100metres bronze medallist Carmelita Jeter will compete at the Aviva International match in Glasgow on Saturday.
The American is looking forward to producing another dazzling performance on her first visit to Glasgow.
Jeter will compete over 60m at the Kelvin Hall venue for Team USA in her build-up to the World Indoor Championships in March.
Jeter set her personal best of of 7.11 seconds at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham last February and now the Los Angeles-based athlete cannot wait to make her mark in front of a Scottish crowd.
Jeter said: "Last year I posted some really fast times and my indoor season went really well, so hopefully I can impress the Glasgow crowd and post another fast time as I gear up for the World Indoor Championships."
The US sprinter will line up against another World Championship finalist in Chandra Sturrup.
Sturrup, a former world indoor gold medallist, was part of the Bahamas' 4x100m silver medal-winning quartet at the last year's World Championships, and she returns to Glasgow after finishing second a year ago.
