Froch: How can Calzaghe beat me?
Carl Froch shrugged off reports claiming Joe Calzaghe has offered to help Mikkel Kessler who faces him on April 24.
WBC super-middleweight champion Froch never achieved his ambition of fighting unbeaten Calzaghe before the Welshman opted to retire in February 2009 with a perfect 46 wins from 46 fights in the paid ranks.
But media reports in Denmark are saying 37-year-old Calzaghe, who has not fought since outpointing Roy Jones Jr. in 2008, has offered to give advice to Kessler and may come out of retirement to fight the winner of the six-man tournament.
"I've only just heard about it, but I'm honoured if Calzaghe will help me. If he has something to offer with any trick or idea, of course I am more than happy to listen," said Dane Kessler, who was outpointed by Calzaghe in 2007.
But Froch, who last month was labelled a "bitch" by Calzaghe, is unruffled by any potential input the Welshman has to offer.
"Calzaghe was not man enough to fight me and maybe feels a bit more secure whispering in another fighter's ear than taking my punches himself," the Nottingham fighter told Hennessy Sports.
"He never had the bottle to fight me so how can he know how to beat me?"
