Alfaro: I will dominate Morales

Jose Alfaro has boldly predicted he will dominate Erik Morales and claim the WBC Intercontinental welterweight crown.

The Nicaraguan knockout specialist (23-5 20KOs), a former WBA lightweight champion, believes he can defeat the returning Morales, who has been out of the ring since August 2007 after suffering four straight defeats.

Alfaro, 26, will go into the fight as a massive underdog with 33-year-old Morales (48-6 34KOs) having the benefit of home advantage.

But the Central American has shown his pedigree in the past with impressive wins over world champions Prawet Singwancha and DeMarcus Corley.

"I do not mind that Morales is the favourite in this fight," said Alfaro. "I understand but I had the best training camp of my life, in my country, and I'm going to win.

"My youth and strength will dominate this match. I know that I'm going to be taking the victory to Nicaragua."
