The Indian eves succumbed to a 40-59 defeat against Singapore on fourth day of the 7th Asian Youth Netball Championship at the Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi.

The Indians, who had won against Hong Kong on Monday, went down 11-13, 08-15, 09-13, 12-18 to Singapore. India now have two wins and two loses so far.

"The team was a bit tensed, but played a good game. The team did not know to captivate the turnover. The Singapore team accelerates we do not accelerate. The team needs a lot of experience," said Indian coach Mary Mercia Lourdes Jayasekera.

Among others, Malaysia will take on Sri Lanka and Thailand will be up against Hong Kong.
