
Thailand Tigers 77-66 Barracudas
Sunday saw the rematch of the Thailand Tigers and the Brunei Barracudas at the Nimibutr National Stadium, Thailand.
Brunei Barracudas won their previous 14 November match against Thailand Tigers which ended 91 - 86 and were looking to continue their winning streak and maintain their position in the league standings after being over-taken by KL Dragons who won today's match against Singapore Slingers.
Thailand Tigers fielded their usual starting lineup of Axel Doruelo, Ikenna Nwankwo, Chaz Briggs, Piyapong Piroon and Attaporn Lertmalaiporn, who were also the starting lineup for their previous match against Brunei Barracudas.
Brunei Barracudas also sent in the same lineup used for the previous meet, fielding Benjamin Sim, Francis Adriano, Reggie Larry, Leonidaz Avenido and Michael Pilgrim.
Brunei Barracudas' Michael Pilgrim won the jumpball against Thailand Tigers' Chaz Briggs. Pilgrim also opened the scoring for Brunei but it was Thailand Tigers who took the first quarter 19 - 17.
Brunei took charge in the second quarter, pushing the score in their favour and lead 39 - 33 against Thailand Tigers. The Thailand Tigers, not wanting to disappoint their home crowd, fought back and evened the score in the third quarter which ended 54 - 54.
The final quarter saw the Thailand Tigers push forward and widen their lead, ending the match 77 - 66, giving the Thailand Tigers their second win.
Thailand Tigers Chaz Briggs lead the team with 27 personal points, followed by Attaporn Lertmalaiporn with 17 points and Axel Doruelo with 9 points. Chaz Briggs also lead the team with 14 rebounds.
Brunei Barracudas Celedon Camaso had 17 personal points, followed by Reggie Larry with 15 points. Reggie Larry also lead the team with 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
